The Monstera Deliciosa is THE ultimate house plant and we can’t say more than that.

The height from the base of the pot to the top of the plant size approximately 55 to 65cm. The nursery pot diameter is 17cm. All plants come in their nursery pots, ceramic pots are sold separately.

Keep this plant out of reach of little hands and pet's paws!

Facts about your Monstera Deliciosa - Swiss Cheese

The Monstera originates from the low lands and jungle of Southern Mexico but has since been introduced to other parts of the world with similar climates. As the name Monstera suggests it can grow to a monster size in its natural habitat with leaves reaching three feet and plants growing to a giant sixty six feet. In the wild the Monstera can produce fruit that taste somewhere between a pineapple and banana. The aerial roots are traditionally used to weave baskets in Mexico.

Facts about your Monstera Deliciosa - Swiss Cheese

Light - Your Monstera loves dappled light. It will do well in a bright but shady room. Too much direct light will damage the plant’s leaves and not enough will mean it will struggle to grow.

Water - Let the top inch or so of soil become dry between waterings, this will probably mean watering about once a week depending on the season and position of your plant.

Top Tip - Clean the dust off your plant’s leaves using the inside of a banana skin. Simply run the skin down the leaf and the natural moisture will remove the dust.

All our plants come with a physical care card, you can also see more information about how to look after your plant and our handy infographic care guides on our plant care page.

Our Green Packaging.

When you buy a plant from Canopy Plants you can be sure we have done our very best to keep your purchase green. Our packaging is sustainably sourced and 100% recyclable or compostable.

All our paper and card is recycled and sustainably sourced.

It wouldn’t be right to be cutting down trees to sell plants!

We don’t use any single use plastic.

When we send your plant to you the pot and roots will be wrapped in a bag that looks like it is made of plastic - it is actually a totally compostable potato starch bag! You can put it in your council compost bin. They are also suitable for home composting.

For fragile items we use potato starch protective peanuts, just wash them down the sink!

Peat free.

We only use peat free compost at our studio. 60% to 70% of our plants are grown in peat free compost and we are pushing to get that to 100% as soon as we can.

Our future totally plastic free.

Our dream is to run a 100% plastic free business, but all of our suppliers use plastic pots. We are working on a ‘Pass on Plastic’ scheme where we give you the option to make your order completely plastic free and we return the plastic pots to our suppliers.
